Holiday Travel...

Counting down the hours where I go and hop on that plane to visit my family in Florida! Guess what time our flight is! 6AM on Sunday (Christmas Eve) morning! Aaaah! Crazy, eh?! But hopefully the kids, especially my 2YO, will be sleeping all the way there. I'm so looking forward to being with my family during the holidays and also celebrating my 27th (ahem) birthday! Yep, I was born December 25th! Such a special day! HAH!!!

What do I love about traveling? Of course getting ready for it, the anticipation, the outings, hanging out, doing nothing or doing lots of things....family times.....everyday is something to look forward to.......and afterwards the memories made.......scrapping moments :)

What I like least? Packing followed by the "til we meet again" moment! Argh!

Check out STM to see the other chicks response!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

T'was the night before Christmas,
And all through the home,
Only one creature was stirring,
A late night scrapper alone.

While she cropped and she trimmed,
Under her breath she was muttering,
"He hid my darn Tape Runner"
The poor wife was stuttering!

When out on the lawn
There arose such a clatter,
She sprang from her table,
And dropped her pens with a splatter.

Away to the window
She flew like a flash,
Thinking maybe it was UPS
Bringing more of her stash!

But what to her wondering eyes
Should appear,
But a miniature (die cut) sleigh
And 8 (sticker) reindeer!

With a little old driver
So lively and quick
She knew right away
It was jolly old St. Nick.

He carried a sack
Filled up to the brim
With paper packs, triangles,
And die cuts crammed in.

There were combo packs, stickers,
And snap packs galore,
There was even a Joy Album
Not available in stores!

He went quickly to work,
Stowing it all under her tree,
The papers, the decorations
And all Acid Free!

"The Decorative Cart is heavy!"
She heard him exclaim,
Then he turned to his reindeer
And called them by name:
"On Buyer and Stasher,
Puncher and Cropper.
On Scrapper, on Matter,
On Trimmer and Cutter."

And he sprang to his sleigh
But before he could leave
The woman yelled, "STOP!"
And pulled a camera from her sleeve.

She snapped some quick photos
For future keepsake,
Thinking all the while
Of the layout she'd make!

And she heard him exclaim
When she finally let him go
"Happy Scrapping to All"
And to all, "HO HO HO!"

If I had 15 minutes to spare....

Just what would I do? Geesh, does it only have to be just 15 minutes?! I'm sleep deprived at times so I would want some extra sleep. But that seems such a waste. I would love to go shopping but for 15 minutes, I would stress out and I think I want to use that extra 15 minutes doing something very relaxing. Ahhh....a bubble bath? Sounds like FUN but I need company when I do that! Then I don't know if 15 minutes would be enough. HAH! Seriously though, 15 minutes, I would love to make cards, while listening to some music and sipping a nice cup of tea. In 15 minutes I can easily crank out 5 or 6 of them. Then if I had another 15 minutes I'd love to mail them out to people I love.

Look at some of my creations from the previous entries. You'll see some of my FUN creations from last night using just the supplies I had at hand. It was sooo FUN and very relaxing making them. I was up 'til midnight. All alone. Peace and quiet! Just me and my cards....

What about you what would you do with that 15 minutes? Let me ask my STM Chicks....

Use What You Have!

OK, so when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. Personally, I'd make a Bloody Mary or a Pineapple Cooler. Yeah...why not? Limit yourself? Not me - I'd like to add "Dazzle" in everything I do! :)

But look at what I've made using the following ingredients:

(4) 8 1/2" x 11" Cardstock
(1) 12" x 12" Cardstock
(1) 12" x 12" Patterned Paper
Embellishments like ribbons, tags, stickers, strings, silk flowers
Tools like punches, stamps, brads
Adhesive
Click on the picture to view a larger image.

Here's your Project Challenge - bring out those same types/amounts of supplies and see what you can make and how many!

Plus, look at the final results, they're all so pleasing to the eyes since they're all so coordinated.

Have FUN!

Yuck! Never Trust a Quiet 2 Year Old....

So, we just got home after dropping off my daughter to her volleyball practice. I fed the dog, took off our jackets (son and I) and I'm looking at the STM boards . I was wondering why I was able to do too much without any interruption from my son.

I go and check on him as I was getting quite suspicious by the quietness and my ability to do a lot!!! Like I"ve died and gone to heaven?! UGH! To my disgust!!! Guess what I saw, he and my dog are eating doggie biscuits!!!! YUCKIE!!!

..................and he was brushing his teeth with the dog's toothbrush!!! EEEK!!!!.............

Kisses anyone?!?!?!?
