I have been frustrated long enough in not knowing how to take great photo shots. Mostly, they're all trial and error. But you know, there are so many resources available to us, right here on the internet. So, I've finally decided to take time to learn. I'm so happy about that!
Anyway, here are some plans I have in the works...
1) I'm taking an online course to learn how to use my digital camera. My goal is if I master this, I will buy myself a digital-SLR, finally! I put it off before as I couldn't justify spending so much if I didn't know how to use it. Now I have a motivation... It's a WIN/WIN, yes?
2) Learn how to use my Photoshop Elements 4.0. There's also an online course I can take. Basically, it's a subscription to newsletters and such so I can learn how to use this software. This way, I can enhance the photos I take and make for a very compelling layout.....which leads me to goal #3......
3) Organize photos that I have taken that are still sitting in my harddrive. I need to do the following: (a) pick out which needs to be scrapped, then edit those, (b) print out the ones that aren't going to be scrapped and (c) delete the ones that will be neither. Do this SOON!

Guess what time it is?! I've been sitting here for the past four hours learning how to use my digital camera. There's this neat website called Creative Learning Zone from Epson and I'm learning a lot so far. Uhmm, I've also been blogging so you'd know if I have visited your site 'cause there will be comments from me.
If I haven't heard from you in a while, I would love to know what's been going on. Post me a comment or email me, I'd love to hear from you.
Hope all is well! Oh yeah, if you have a digital camera, make sure to visit Creative Learning Zone and learn something new!
Ciao!

Gosh I feel so bad I haven't posted anything and I have had so much I can share with you.
1) I should still show some downtown photos -- from when sis and I went to the Water Tower.
2) Ava's VB tournament photos in Indianapolis -- she played at the RCA Dome!
I have projects that I need to get done. Here's my list:
1) My Scrapworks article.
2) Scrapbook Chalet entry for Designing Like A Star.
3) Layout and Card creation for Theresa's Blog.
On top of all I want to remodel my house!!!! Ahhhhh....
Color is my strength yet I'm having such a hard time choosing colors for my walls!!!! Calgon, take me away!!! See, I love reds, with some brown. But I have this mural in my dining room that I created with a palm tree, on the water.....so it has lots of blues, green and browns. NO RED!!! So according to my Interior Designer (my sister) I need to go with those colors, ditch the red....OR paint over the mural and then I can have some red! Say what?!?!?! Hubby says he won't have the heart to color over my mural. He says I should leave it alone since it's a Jozzie thing.
Here, look at a picture of my mural, what do you think?

I found it! There has been a talk about this book at the Scrapbook Chalet and read positive feedback about it. So I have been searching high and low and so I emailed AE herself. I always bug the poor girl whenever I need something. She'll think I'm stalking her. Well, anyway, she's always been so gracious and emails me back every single time. And guess what?! She emailed me again this time. And she much sit in front of her computer all the time because every time I have emailed her, she responds right back. Anyway, thank you Ali! I found the book and I will make sure to order me a copy.
A signed copy would have been nicer though.... :)

So after much deliberation and intense research, this is what I ended up getting!
Why?
Because it can take awesome pictures at 8.1 MP. It's VERY user-friendly! It's very compact. I realized I don't like lugging around a big D-SLR camera. I only want to carry what can fit in my purse. And baby, this one is it!

T'was the night before Christmas,
And all through the home,
Only one creature was stirring,
A late night scrapper alone.
While she cropped and she trimmed,
Under her breath she was muttering,
"He hid my darn Tape Runner"
The poor wife was stuttering!
When out on the lawn
There arose such a clatter,
She sprang from her table,
And dropped her pens with a splatter.
Away to the window
She flew like a flash,
Thinking maybe it was UPS
Bringing more of her stash!
But what to her wondering eyes
Should appear,
But a miniature (die cut) sleigh
And 8 (sticker) reindeer!
With a little old driver
So lively and quick
She knew right away
It was jolly old St. Nick.
He carried a sack
Filled up to the brim
With paper packs, triangles,
And die cuts crammed in.
There were combo packs, stickers,
And snap packs galore,
There was even a Joy Album
Not available in stores!
He went quickly to work,
Stowing it all under her tree,
The papers, the decorations
And all Acid Free!
"The Decorative Cart is heavy!"
She heard him exclaim,
Then he turned to his reindeer
And called them by name:
"On Buyer and Stasher,
Puncher and Cropper.
On Scrapper, on Matter,
On Trimmer and Cutter."
And he sprang to his sleigh
But before he could leave
The woman yelled, "STOP!"
And pulled a camera from her sleeve.
She snapped some quick photos
For future keepsake,
Thinking all the while
Of the layout she'd make!
And she heard him exclaim
When she finally let him go
"Happy Scrapping to All"
And to all, "HO HO HO!"
